Meri has been serving as HOIDSA’s Vice President since 2009. She has been involved in disability issues and HOIDSA since 1990, the year her oldest son was born with Down syndrome. She has served as the first President of the Local Interagency Council, a TCRC board member and president of the Human Rights Authority. She is a business owner and works as a commercial and residential interior designer. She lives in East Peoria, Illinois with her husband, Chuck and their three children Camille, Alexander and Gabriel. She enjoys renovating the family’s 110 year old home, travel, gardening, reading and entertaining.
